I got an important information and details from all the questions, every one has a different meaning an idea. I learned a lot about the own business range and how it works. First of all, before I start, I should get a good idea and plan to start then try to find a good way about how I want to do my business. I need to know where I am now and where I want to go and how I get there. Second, I need to study hard to know how I can do my business. I Should not do any thing if I do not know everything about it. I need to have goal, and work hard to get it but there is some challenges that facing me when I do my business, so I need to know how void them and get my business safe and successful. Third,I need to start building a good credit from now, that will help me a lot if I need any thing from the sources of credit/financing in the future. Forth,I need to focus on what the customers need, and do my best to have a good customers services to keep them always coming on to me, and do any thing new even if it is hard to attract them. Fifth, I should never do the same what the other people do, but I should do some thing more better and benefit for me and my business. Finally, I need to know how I manage my business and take advantage from the others experiences. I need to know how I solve all the problems that happen to me in my business. In short, I think it was a great project, and it was a smart idea to do this interview which will help us a lot when we want to open our own business because we got a lot of an important information about the business world. |

The most meaningful aspect I learned from this project is to know the economy. Having reasonings to fall back on. I believe to have a successful business is to plan ahead and start little by little. Start with the smallest things in life and sooner than later you will move your way up to doing bigger and better things for the company. If you go in hard, you will walk away with a good head on your shoulders and you will know your rights and your wrongs. Everyone makes mistakes, it might take a couple of trys but the more you thrive the more of a challenge it will become, then it will come simple to you and you can even work that job doing the same things blind folded. It just takes time and the right enough practice to get everything right. It would not just happend over night. Based on this project I learned having your own business is not as simple as it seems. Start little then at the end you will notice a big difference in the company. It takes time and like they they say time is money. Do what you got to do from point A to point B. |

What I found to be the most meaningful to me about this project was that the person I interviewed gave me more information then I needed. He really wanted to share his experiences with me and wanted to pass down his knowledge and wisdom. I learned a lot from what he had to say to me. What he had to say to me came straight from the heart it really inspired me. Every bit of information he gave to was extremely important if I start a business I will remember what he told me so I can be successful. |

The most meaningful thing was getting to learn about the ideas he had to get to where he got. This was very interesting because I got to know what companies go through before and how much they put into their own companies to get started. Being able to provide me with information on how to start a business of my own without making the wrong decisions. Now learning about what he had to say, I realized that electronic is the most important thing in my life time when it comes to my phone, computer, and to my car. My generation has become more dependent on electronics, and since knowing half the battle it’s very hard to keep up with technology. Knowing what works in today’s economy and what will not make a difference. Getting to talk to him got me thinking that if I wanted to open my own business like mobile grooming for dogs or cats. Knowing what the right steps are to get to where you need to be. Ways to get your information out and what people you need to know for your company to grow fast. What people you can trust to help you run your company or work for you. Knowing where to go to get started and what prices to start at. Making sure I know what works for my company and keeping up with what my customers want. So there for this project interview helped me out a lot on what o need to know. |

From this project I learned that to start your own business it will be complicated. I will have many obstacles but I shouldn't let those ruin my dreams and aspirations. When you really want something you can accomplish it. I learned that to have your own business you don't necessarily need to have an establishment, that you can do it from home and be successful, it all depends the kind of business I want. I also learned that anyone can run their own business they just have to have dedication and the want to succeed. In business you have to be able to get your customers trust, because the major advertisement is word of mouth and you want a great reputation for your business. Respecting your customers will bring respect to yourself and to your business. I had a wonderful time interviewing someone who is already in the business field because it makes me feel more confident that I will be able to do it myself one day. |

THE MOST MEANINGFUL THING ABOUT THIS PROJECT WAS THAT I LEARNED A LOT ABOUT WHAT IT TAKES TO OWN AND OPERATE A BUSINESS. I FOUND OUT THAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE KEY TO MAKING YOUR BUSINESS SUCCEED. BEING ABLE TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY WILL MAKE THEM WANT TO RETURN. THE MORE CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE THE MORE INCOME YOU WILL RECEIVE AND THE MORE OPPORTUNITIES OF KEEPING YOUR BUSINESS OPEN. BY DOING THIS INTERVIEW I WAS ABLE TO GATHER INFORMATION FROM AN ENTREPRENUER ON HOW SHE OPENED HER OWN DAY SPA. I LEARNED FROM HER EXPERIENCES THAT YOU MUST HAVE A GOAL IN MIND AND STICK WITH THAT GOAL IN ORDER TO MAKE IT A SUCCESS. SHE STUCK WITH HER GOAL OF WANTING TO BECOME A MASSAGE THERAPIST AND WHAT SHE GOT OUT OF IT WAS OPENING HER OWN DAY SPA. IF I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING SIMILAR TO HER I MUST STICK WITH IT TILL THE END AND NOT GIVE UP OR ELSE I WILL BE GIVING UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME VERY SUCCESSFUL. |

I cant even start to say how this project really opened my eyes. I had asked him if I could volunteer at his shop after he approved I couldn’t wait to start. At his shop I did everything from washing dogs to doing a Full on cleaning of a Dog. Not only was it really fun but it made me realize that running a business doesn’t always have to be horrible. You can do it and enjoy being an employee too. So after volunteering at the business, it came to my attention of all the work that is required to keep the place up and running. There is Schedules, Maintenance, Inventory,Accounting. All these things that are required to maintain a successful business. The thing I dint expect was for these things all to be doe in one day. As a store owner I saw that he did a awesome job of regulating everything. This project helped show me whats in store for me. It showed me that ii can enjoy what I do and that I can choose which way I want to do it. I am very thankful I had the experience of volunteering for a company that I would soon want to imitate. Many core things are required to keep a business successful and the main thing I learned throughout this all is that YOU the striving entrepreneur are the key to a successful business. As long as you are educated and have that strive and a plan. Nothing will be able to stop you of achieving your goal. |

the most meaningful thing about this project to me was the actual interview. the person i interviewed was a women who had lost her job of 20 years and had always had a dream of owning a business.she is struggling at the moment because of location and lack of knowledge of how the industry would work but i see ots of potential because she has the key characteristics to provide good sevice in her business:creativity, customer service and loyalty.she is a true inspiration to someone who is an aspiring entreprenuer like my self. she motivated me even more to want to open my own pastry shop one day. |

Fortunately for me, when we were assigned this project I knew exactly the guy to ask. He has been a friend of mine for several years and I have always known he had owned a business but never really asked much about it. By interviewing him I was able to get a very personal and honest opinion of what it's really like to run his business. He's a very straight forward guy and thats always better compared to sugarcoating answers. During the interview, I was also able to get some input from one of his partners in the company. You can always tell when people are passionate about what they do, they excite over the smallest details, and it shows in how successful there company is. The whole interview process was very insightful, not only for me but for John as well. He actually thanked me for asking him these questions. They were a good reminder for him of why he is doing what he does. And for me, they had some questions of they're own that made me scratch my head a couple of times. One of my favorite responses from him was his last answer. " Figure out what you like to do. Do it better then anyone else. Then charge for it. " I think if all business were run that way not only would it be beneficial for the business but for the consumers as well. They would be buying or using a service that the businessman is passionate about and I think the end result is always better for everyone.. |

I have been working for him for about six years the last three as a store manager. I have learned so much in this last three years and even more after taking several business classes at Mt. San Antonio, but after this project I have an owner’s perspective of how the business world is. I appreciate the time he took to answer my questions and even came up with new ideas to help my store improve. He and I would always have meetings about customer service and food cost etc, but with this interview we went into different details and I actually understood the importance of food cost, labor cost and customer experience. We talked about his pass jobs, business sources that he reads occasionally; he gave me advice about financing and tips to prepare myself for my future goals. The most Meaningful part from this project was the advice he gave me and the relationship we made up that day. I decided to be a business major after he promoted me to store manager and hearing his advice and ideas made it seem like I was going in the right path. Who knows maybe after all this time working for subway and the skills I have learned at school and at work I may have my own business some day. The advice that stuck with me the most was “if you have a really good idea don’t share it with too many people, they my steal your idea”. Over all I feel that this project was a success now I feel more positive of myself and I Know I can count on my boss for any business advice I might have in the future. |
