The most meaningful part of this project to me was being able to talk to the owner and learn about their daily experiences in the flower business. The floral industry is something that I never really knew about until I was able to talk to (name removed). I always buy flowers, but never knew the time and effort that goes with each item. I saw how passionate (name removed) was about her business and she was very easy to talk to about everything. When she was talking it sounded more like flowers were her hobby rather than just a job, and I found that to be very intriguing. This is exactly how I feel when I talk about starting my own clothing line because that business i want to be able to go into.  I learned that having your heart in the business is something more than just being able to go into work everyday and do your job. It takes more than that like having dedication and commitment to your job. The economy hasn't been so great lately, but (name removed) was able to show me that she was still able to keep her head up with a smile. This gives me a lot of hope for the future when I start my own company. This project showed me more about what I need to do for myself to succeed in the future. Gaining that knowledge through this assignment was a big help.

Overall I loved this project and it didn’t feel like homework or a grade at all. The interviewing process and hearing about how the business came about was extremely interesting. My favorite part was hearing about how much he hated the first job he had and how this new business just came to him. The fact that he was working a job he hated and the opportunities just fell onto his lap and he found something he truly loved later on in his life is truly inspiring. The fact that he started this business when he was in his late 30’s makes me feel like it is never too late to find something you love and become a leader in that field. I love that so much because even to this day I haven’t found something that I truly love to do. I’ve tried multiple hobbies, sports, and instruments and nothing has ever screamed out to me that I’ve really loved to do and sometimes I think I’ll never find something, but his story really gave me hope and inspiration.  The fact that he explained how each part of the business worked all the way from the actual process of the repair to the paperwork goes from person to person really made me realize how much work there really to run your own business. It really made me appreciate how much work goes into just one job and the true value of a dollar. What really surprised me was how much he truly loved his business and how it wasn’t just a source of income but something he enjoyed doing. He also made it sound like anyone who wanted to go into a business can with just a little effort and dedication. He also made it extremely clear that I should avoid debt and using credit at all costs because of some of the previous experiences he has had.

This project was very helpful to me to get insight on owning your own business.  It was nice being able to get info from an actual person who owns a business and to hear there experience and challenges he had to over come while pursing his dreams.  It was meaningful to hear what pushed him to do what he wanted and I want to be able to have that same motivation to pursue what I want to do.  It was also informative to hear he would want to take more business classes so for me it shows that a deep knowledge in business goes along way and can help through all aspects of the business.  He also said he’d want to take some form of a leadership class and I see know that when in comes to being in charge of a business there is a lot of responsibility and you must be able to be a good leader to the ones who work for you. It was also nice to have him give me advice and giving his thoughts on what I should focus on and what things I need to do to be successful. Another thing was him saying to keep my mind open to change which will help me to understand things don’t always happen they way you want so always have other option.  Also because maybe your first plan didn’t work out don’t let that stop you. I think for me the most important thing I will take away from this is just to do something you love.  I found to be really successful you need to be enthusiastic about your work.

The most meaningful thing to me about this was that the owner took something that he had been through, and made that his business. He took a problem many of us have had, and helped make things easier, and we all know how long and tiring fixing a car is. I have gone to the shop, and it was quick, easy, and inexpensive compared to other places.

in this big world there is always things that happen with you like what’s your future goals or people ask you what you gone be before this all times I was not sure about being a business man I was in middle because lots of people give me different ideas but now I think this is good for me that I wasn’t sure about being business man interview this person I learn lots of new things cause in the future I’m going in that business cause growing up wasn’t sure but when you get into one thing that you really like and think you can handle it than I think you should just go for it and doing this interview you learn and get more into it and special when you are going in that business and doing this and special when you know that person it’s easy for you cause you kind know there little life but you want to know more like my uncle when I interview him he didn’t say nothing all he said yea just come any time I help you. He is in this business almost for 22 years and he got lots of experience that he taught me like how he said in interview that there will times when there no one you gone be alone to solve everything nearby you like if something happen don’t let yourself go down everything you do now and work hard now it will pay back later in your life those words touched me and I think it’s true to cause in your way there will be people who will bring or try to bring you down but you got to stay up there cause once you hit on your road it’s going to be hard but if you do your own way that everything will go right in life.

The most meaningful part of this project was to be able to sit down with a business owner and view things from the other side of the line.  It was very interesting for me to hear the entrepreneur talk about the things that challenged their business, because I did not expect them to view certain things as challenges.  For example, when the entrepreneur began to talk about their workplace and how it was beginning to affect their productivity.  I thought the workspace was a reasonable size.  Also, I enjoyed receiving their advice and I took it to heart.  I will definitely keep that in mind when I begin to venture out and start up my business. I really enjoyed being able to have a one on one conversation and really step into the business world for a moment.  It made me very excited to begin work on getting my business up and running.  Also, obstacles will be easier for me knowing that I received proper instruction on how to start and manage a business.  On a side note, receiving all this useful information really got me to start thinking about what steps I need to take and the order in which I need to take them.  All in all, this project as a whole was extremely meaningful and educational.

This project gave me an owner's perspective of how the owners of a business get their business started. The preparation that goes inot having a business and getting it up and running. It also showed me how to maintain a business and the different ideas and techniques it takes to make sure you keep moving forward.   Along with knowing how to keep your business thriving, you need to know how to market and start relationships with others to help your business grow. Prior to starting a business, sometimes owners do not have the desire to start a business while in school, so taking a business class gives me some ideas and prepartation to know how to start a business. Technology is also a help to maintaining a business. However; when you start a business, do not expect to succeed and strike gold right away, it takes time to for your business to grow and bring in the income you wish to have.

What is most meaningful thing to me would be to start early. I need to begin to decide what I want now. I need to know how to manage the money that I have and it will bring more. He says that an investor is a good route to take. My goal includes not only franchising, but investing in the near future. I will save the money I have so I will be able to progress when I get a degree. Not only would a plan be good for my business, but one should also be made out to what I have planned in my life.      Another thing that is meaningul to me is the bond I created during this project. It not only allowed me to see the joy in my business owners face as I asked him questions, But also allowed me to have a mentor. I now have a person I can go to for advice, business guidance, and career planning. He taught me many things in the process of the interview. I was advised to take advantage of my youth and the technology my generation has. I feel as though I now have a better understanding how a business is run. I think it will be a challenge for me to obtain my life goals but I am sure that the bonds I create with other business people of the world will only help me to obtain it.

The most meaningful thing to me about this project was to be able to know more about a small business. Since I hope to one day own my own business, I take all of this data and try and learn from it. Even though this is not the type of business I want to have, it still showed me a glimpse of what to expect from a small business. It also made me see that its not all fun and games to have a small business because of challenges I may encounter. Also, that not just anyone can get financing, I have to be qualified enough to recieve financial help. Overall, this project made me see small businesses differently.

What was so meaningful to me during this project was the experience with a C.E.O..It gave me the chance to see things from their point of view in buisness. He discussed with me about various ideas that you need to start a buisness, and how hard it is. From the project I learned that starting your own buisness takes great thinking, research, and commitment to do so. With a "whatever it takes" mentality you shall progress in the buisness world. Each year in buisness is different, so you must adapt to keep up.  I also learned what it takes to run a buisness. You must find an idea that you find interests in. Then you shall do research to explain to the world your unique idea and why you should be given the chance to start a buisness. I found it helpful to get some real life stories of how a real buisness is ran and what some of the obstacles are. It was apparent after the interview that there is alot more to running a buisness than I, or most people, would ever know of. I now have a far greater understanding of what it could take to start, run and be successful in buisness and this information will help me to focus on what is important.
