The most meaningful thing about this project is getting to interview an entrepreneur. This was a great opportunity for me or anyone interested in owning their own business one day. Getting to know how these entrepreneurs got their business started as well as what struggles they faced. How they would do things differently and had taken classes that had to do with their own business or that could have improved their knowledge. I would definitely say that having to do this project is a great opportunity although at first I didn’t see the point of doing this project. I find this to be a great opportunity because now I can take the advice given to me by an entrepreneur him/her self and apply it to my entrepreneurial dream. |

With these question I was able to obtain information that is related to small business ownership. The interview allowed me to understand the many important roles of a entrepreneur. I was able to discover the character needed to succeed, the in depth planning, the risk taking and the rewards of being an small business owner. Commitment plays an important role of the business model , it shows the values of the individual running the business. The most meaningful advice in the interview is “it takes money to make money” such as building up and taking control of the firm. Second of all, you have to obtain the ability to take care of the customer’s needs and wants. The methods will include decision making, which will allow you to identify future issues and find solutions of the conflict. Other examples are making critical changes, such as adjustments, fixing errors, free repair or extending warranty policies to resolve any issue in the firm. The product, pricing, location, and the effort in marketing strategies must be well defined. The most important factor to a business is the people, your target market that relies on your products or services. Your customers can judge you based on their experience, determining if you are credible enough to continue making business with. In conclusion the customers have an impact on the business in many forms, but its establishment is also guided by the entrepreneur himself and his strategies. |

For this project, I interviewed my mother. The most meaningful to me about this project is having good relationships with customers and managing business. To success on the business, owner should have good relationships with customers. Especially in these days, many people are shopping on internet because it is easier and might be cheaper than buying in store. To draw more customers, the business should have good services. Try to know what kind of products the customers like and recommend the items with price they are looking for. Also, always have clean and good quality of products and having some of events for customers will help too. Also managing is important to success business. Employees should be well trained and they have to like working. The store has to be clean and organized; it will look better for customers and they will buy products and will trust about the business. I think Observe different types of products are popular to customers and have them is also better way to managing business. |

The utmost meaningful thing I will take from this experience will be Jose’s advice for success. It was helpful, wary, and awakening. I will always keep his advice in mind, when I get serious about starting my own. It has given me an inside look on an entrepreneurs business and has motivated me to start thinking more about mines! I’m really glad I had an opportunity to do this interview, coming from a different country and being able to make it here in the states inspired to make my dreams one day a reality. He let me see what needs to be done, and that it could be done, with hard work, determination, and little bit of business skills. His advice assured me this is exactly where I need to be career wise. He also let me see that anyone who truly applies themselves can do it if he can, and I’m fortunate enough to have schooling and be aware of this at my age. If I apply myself, ill have the business that I’ve always dreamed of. I have an idea of whom and where I want to be in life, but I’m just not there yet. My plan right now is to thrive in and finish school, while learning helpful business, academic, and social skills. Starting my own business won’t be an easy task but in the long run, it will be all worth it. |

This project has been very interesting to see the mind of an entrepreneur. I really enjoyed interviewing my friend because I didn’t know he owned so many companies and how hard he worked. Some of the questions to this project though I didn’t agree on. I didn’t agree on them because I felt that some of the questions didn’t apply to the individual. For example, the question on if the individual could go back in time and change his or her education to learn something new what would it be. I felt that the question was unnecessary because my interviewer looked at me weird and said he wouldn’t change anything. If he wouldn’t change anything that doesn’t really answer the question so I feel like maybe I wouldn’t get credit for that question because I said that he wouldn’t change anything. The most meaningful thing to me about this project is when my interviewer told me to know people. Getting to know people is not always the easiest thing, but trusting them to go into business with you is a big step. I been hurt a lot in the past and I have a hard time trusting people, but my friend said the key to success is getting to know people and if your want to do business with them you have to trust them. I always thought it is the people you know will help you in business, but my friend said it is the people who “Know you!” I thought about it for a second and I agree with him. To be a successful business man you have to stick out of the hundreds and thousands of people to show them why is it a good deal for them to invest or partner up with you in business. This was the most meaningful thing I took away from my client I interviewed, “How many people know you,” and how can you make yourself worthy that other business would want to partner up or do business with you. In the end, to become successful you have to put yourself out there and show the world what you can do to be worthwhile for them to have eyes on you! |

This project was meaningful in many ways, when I was given the opportunity to interview one of my family friends and hear what he went through to start the business showed me how difficult things can be in the up come of a business. The project gave me the opportunity to understand the process in knowing how to start up a business and how to maintain it. Understanding the business world can take a lot of time and a lot of money. The commitment in all the steps to making a business work was the entrepreneurs difficult task. The most interesting part of all this was to hear how many times this entrepreneur failed. The interview was with a Auto shop owner, which made it exciting for me because of how much i love cars. It was really cool getting to know the entrepreneur more and knowing that we can relate in the fact that we both wanted to start a business at a young age. He was able to build a good enough foundation so that he can support his family and his business. The entrepreneur was always positive and throwing out ideas which related to me a lot on how I write down everything if i get an idea. Always having technology which related to me a lot, because everything that involved technology involved Apple. Why this was so meaningful was because of knowing if you fall in a business in doesn't always mean its the end it is a new beginning as Ralph told me. |

At the beginning of the interview I was nervous because I do not know how ask the questions due to being nervous and a bit scared knowing that I was interviewing an entrepreneur. As I started to lose my nervousness the interview started to move smoother. The entrepreneur was really helpful into revealing how this person succeeded into being his own boss. I was curious to know how he started the business and in reality it takes a lot more work with time and effort to succeed as an entrepreneur. Money is a key factor because this will help you establish the business you want to establish and make it work and especially I learn that you need to save a large amount of money to proceed with the risks coming to open up a business. I learned that you need to be able to present the business plan desired to keep up with the organization of the job and run the job, also, because it is not all about creating the idea and it that is it, that was not the case of the entrepreneur describing his experience, there is more into making a business in order to be successful. I did not know that more technologies keep coming up and that you need to keep up with the technology because if you do not update like the architecture industry you always need to keep with the latest information or else you will not be successful, and I did not know that every year this updates are being made. I like the fact that he was helpful with the resources of help he gave me because that is always a good help if I am struggling with my future business. Also, this websites are always updated in which you can always be informed which I like because this helps me to be up to date and continue managing the business with the new regulations or updates that are posted every year. When he told that you can attend workshops and seminars for me as an aspiring entrepreneur and be familiarize with the competition and what I am going to run on because this preparation will help me succeed on the run long. There is always going to be competition but learning this from an experienced entrepreneur is quite helpful into opening my business. After the interview, I learned that I need, there are many websites that can help you, also to manage your finances and be cautious in what the spending goes to. Plus, do not be afraid to ask other entrepreneurs how they became successful because they will help you in which you are not alone there is help out there which I am willing to do get the help that is needed in order to succeed. |

The most meaningful thing to me while I did this project was learning what it takes to be successful. Knowing that even entrepreneurs are still learning new things as they go along and that not everything is always perfect within a business. It takes time and effort to create a business that is successful. It is not just handed out for free. I have to work for what I want and work hard because it is not always going to be easy and I will find many errors along the way. Also, I enjoyed the fact that I had to go out and find someone who owned their own business. It was a challenge for me and one that was quite thrilling. Once I found the entrepreneur I would interview everything else fell into place. I learned a lot from him and I would definitely go to him again if I ever do start my own business because I do believe he has good insight on how to run a business. Overall this project has opened my eyes a lot more on how an entrepreneur sees his or her own business. How passionate they are for the company they envisioned and created. It was a fun, educational experience for me. |

Looking back at this project I believe that it has helped me gain a better understanding on how it is to run a business. I found out that it is not easy to run a business, but if you follow some easy steps than it should not be too hard to keep the business going. The interview process was very insightful and very educational. The topics that was covered in the interview was also some of the topics that have already been discussed in class lectures. For instance, great customer service is one of the topics covered in class. Another area would be technology and how it is important for any business to stay up to date. When you first open a business it is important to have great people skills. If you have great people skills than you will be one step toward great customer service. Customer service is key for businesses to give the customers what they need, and in return the businesses hope that they will give out referrals. The other way to keep your business growing strong is to stay up to date with the new technology. In todays world, technology is everywhere you go. Technology is also not going to go away so if you want your business to succeed than understanding the technology in your field is important. One other side note, if you are trying to start your business it would be best to look for a business that is already started than to start your own due to there being instant cash flow, and you will save a lot of time and money. |
