The most meaningful part in this project that stuck out to me the most. Was that he took a risk about buy a buisness takin the risk about getting his construction liscense and had accounting classes and went for it and is succesful today. Also he says that taking classes and learning new ways to improve is always good to do. Its really good to know that you get a one to one interview on this project. He told me every business has it challenges for me it slow down on construction is the hardest which told me you kinda have to stick throught even when its tought becuase it might good in the long run. The other thing that stuck out ot me is that he said you have to have a good understaning of finacies which i would really like to learn about. Also put your money in somewhere so it makes intrest on while you are making your money so it grows till when your ready to retire. This company is also a family owned buisness which he said he is going to give it to their sons which is also cool to know. Ypu also got to watch out were you borrow your money from and have good credit to do it to but he said try to avoid that wich is also some good advice. |

This interview was very meaningful. The most meaningful part of this project was getting advice from someone who tried and succeeded in the small business world. It was great getting opinions from someone who has made a profit from becoming an entreprenuer and not from just being a worker. Getting to interview someone was a great experience and I learned alot from it. This experience made me network and talk to people I didn't know which is good for me. I'm usually too shy to talk to someone I don't know so it was a good to come out of my shell for this interview. I learned alot from the person I interviewed. I learned that without custmers the business wouldnt thrive. If I was to start my own business I'm going to make sure that I have great customer service. Also advertising is very important to have in order to obtain customers. Lastly a good quality of work so customers can come again if they like my services. I'm grateful for the advice that the business owner gave me. I will use everything I learned today to open my own business in the future. |

What I think was most meaningful about this project was simply the experience. The experience of talking with someone that has achieved there main goal in the business world. This project gave me the opportunity to go one on one with someone that has experience in the business world and was nice enough to share what she has gone through and also give me some useful information on how I can succeed with whatever I want to do. This helped me in the way that now i know to stay positive and to never give up. The competition will always be there so either you let it get to you or you see the good instead of the bad and move on. After completing this project I now feel more confident with going into business. I am now a little more aware of the things I must have and the attitude I must carry when going into it. Some other things iI found meaningful about this project would definitely be hearing about peoples past. I found this meaningful because I was able to hear about how and when the ideas started for a business. Not just that but also how they began and why they did it. Another helpful piece of information would have to be that i got to hear my entrepreneurs point of view of how business is right now in real time and how it is always changing. I have to be ready for change all the time and never let my guard down. In all I think this project was a great learning experience and the things I was told were very helpful and going into the business world i would be able to use all this advice to my advantage. |

When I found out about this assignment I was excited to interview my dad. My dad has been investing everything so much into his company for so long and I assumed I knew all the answers to the questions. I was wrong. In doing this project I learned a lot about the company that has been supporting my family for over ten years. Before interviewing my dad I didn't know even a fraction of the work and commitment he does every day. The things I witness him doing are only a small percentage of his duties in this sole proprietorship. The most meaningful thing I figured out in doing this project was learning more about my dad's business. I have a new respect for my dad and everything he does. It was surprising to me how excited he was to talk about the business (we have never sat down and talked about it before). My dad is really smart man, my favorite piece of advice he gave me was "never burn bridges." I never realized how well my father runs his business and how organized. I really enjoyed interviewing my dad and realizing how proud he is of all his accomplishments. |

I believe that Mike is just your average joe trying to make a living. I see that he is living the American dream and I respect that. The looks of his shop and the customers he has targeted, has grown with business. At the start of his business he targeted elementary students, who grew to junior high, then to high school. so the visual of the shop has changed with the times. Other than that he is a real respectful guy hungry for money. He knows that he has a product that is really popular and will sell to kids who love outdoor sports. He seems like he networks with a lot of people as customers who always come in know him by name, and Mike knows the customer's name also. He was a little iffy about the information shared at times but what he had told me was meaningful advice. I can relate to his success when I plan to start my own small business such as his. |

The most meaningful about this project is that it opens my mind and shows me the bigger and broader picture of the possibility of opening a business. The experience that i have received through the interview, drives and inspired me to become a business man. Not only the information from the interview motivates me, but it also shows me the skill and lesson to become a successful business man. For instance, if i did not go through the project and did not experience the one on one interview, i would have been blind of the fact of the hardship and flaw of an individual that would become their downfall of opening their business, due to their lack of experience or knowledge. Since I now know the fact of the possibility of success of opening a business, i feel that i am more experienced and more wise of how to take the right steps to open a successful business in the future; therefore, i am going to use this experience as my guide to become a successful business man. |

It was a great experience and im positive that it will help me tremendously with my future in business. |

The most meaningful thing about this project is the information that was shared with me. Who knew that there was so much going into a business? The information shared with me about the problems the business was having is very important. Its important to see the bad things going on in your business and start doing everything you can to fix these things. Fixing the problems is key to keeping your business strong. Also know the ways to improve your business is important. The idea of making things easier and also making it cheaper for your company is important and smart. All of the information shared is important such as how to keep customers happy, making sure you know everything about your business and also how to be financially stable. The information about what he could have done before he started his business is impotant because that is information I could potentially use in the future. Its good that he knows the strengths and weaknesses that his business is going through, that way he can help to make it better and also to keep up the good work. The most important thing I learned from him is what he gave me for advice. I am going to stay in school, and get all the schooling I need before starting my own business. |

The most meaningful aspects of this project was learning and knowing more about the company that I work in. Learning the ins and outs of running a business is always important to know. It helps prepare myself for the future and helps me figure out what I need to know about running my own business. Learning about what helps make a business successful and also learning about the features that help make running a business easier. Going to school for a purpose helps me realize to take it seriously and focus on my studies and major. Being sure to stay in school and take it seriously was some great advice that I learned from Greg. Using technology to help make my business more competitive is always a plus. Following my dreams an staying focused on what I need to do and get accomplished on starting my own business and survive in my business industry. |

The most meaningful thing about this project to me is that it exposes what an entrepreneur does in order to be successful. There is really a difference in talking about an entrepreneur compared to talking to them. You really get a grasp about what it takes to be one such as; finance issues, competitors, employees, and aspirations. A lot of different things come into affect when concerning starting up or keeping a created business. A bad economy may be beneficial to others while some business's don't pull through. It really depends on the field. The great thing is there are so many fields that could be explored. I was really shown this when I was trying to find the NAICS number. This project showed me that an ordinary individual could become an entrepreneur. All you need is to have a good idea to start off with. |
