I took a class on how to do taxes. Back when I started everything had to be do manually on paper, computers were not around. My goal was to help just my family members with their income tax filing. After the first year, family members started talking about it with their friends, making those friends come to my house asking if I could file taxes for them. I had no choice but to convert my living room into a small office. From there came the idea of charging to file their taxes and now I have been at it for over 30 years. |
