The most meaning full part about this was seeing this entrepreneur striving for his fascination with cars. to see someone like him to leaving his job to start up his own business is just simply amazing and such a risk. This shows me that in the business world its a fifty fifty chance of becoming successful. As the entrepreneur i was interviewing, he came off a little off topic and mentioned how he basically walked in to this business idea blindfolded as a metaphor and once he had his business he struggled and did not know to much on how to strive on being successful, but after a year or two building relationships with venders he became aware of them referring to him and started seeing profit. This was meaningful because it goes to show that starting a business is hard work and may become overwhelming, but its the risk of becoming successful if you know the fundamentals of running a small business and that is what my entrepreneur did. It gives me motivation to go ahead and start up my own business step by step. Another thing that i saw that was meaningful was the amount of paper work you have to do, This is important because he showed me paperwork from banks and auto insurance that he has to look over carefully in order to keep his business in shape because paper work can become a hassle with bills and taxes, but it is useful for me to understand this because if i want to strive and thrive in my business, i have to deal with paper work regarding venders, banks, and insurance. In all essence, this project was a learning experience and really gets me motivated and thinking how to start up my own business. |

The most meaningful aspect of this project to me to was the advice he gave to others. The most important point he mentioned was that we should focus on ourselves more. We need to realize that in business, getting the job done is not easy. We need to be very focused and be prepared for the challenges that awaits us. Getting to our initial goals will not be easy. We work our way up to the goals we want. Everybody starts from the bottom and eventually gets to the top, which brings success. In business, there is no easy way to success. Success comes from hard work that we commit and dedicate to our business we want to pursue. There will always be challenges on the way in our careers, but being prepared will allow us to handle them easily. Another meaningful point in this project is in the financial aspect regarding a business. Money for start up is very hard to get today, especially since the economy has worsened over the years. Getting a loan brings risk, but with a good business idea and plan than that loan would not be a problem to pay back. I would assume that banks are very strict on giving out loans, so I would look towards borrowing money from people I know first. Also, I would try and get government aid if possible. When I think about a business, I tend to focus more on how to make a successful business and not on how to pay for the start up. I cannot always think that a loan would be possible to get through a bank, which most people think of. I have to prepare myself before to show the banks how successful my business can be with a plan in order to get the loan. If I am smart about this, then a loan would not be a problem and would not impede with my ultimate business goals. In general, I learned that I should be prepared to face any challenges and know what I am getting myself into before I work in a certain business field. Just being smart about what I do and the choices I make is important as well. I should try and get experience and work my way up to success. Everybody starts from the bottom like I mentioned, and it is only those that work hard that find great success and fortune in their lives. I want to be one of them. |

The most meaningful part of this project for me would have to be the fact that I had the opportunity to interview a company that not only I buy from, but that sells the product that I am interested in. I was capable of getting in insight on how the business really works. I was also able to get a little more personal business wise. I was excited to learn more about wholesale importers. I was capable of of learning what topics I may need to have more strength in to run a business. As a student this project was over all an eye opener on how running a business work, especially for whole sellers and wholesale importers. I never would have thought to research my competition literally. A lot of time that I have spent was mainly about doing business. I was never capable before to communicate with on this level. This project gave me an amazing opportunity to have a real insight on the career of my choice. |

There were several meaningful aspects to this project. The actual one on one time talking with an entrepreneur was invaluable. Getting some insight into their mind and seeing how they tick is extremely helpful when comparing it to myself. Finding out how they got to where they are and the things they would have done differently give me an advantage for when I decide to do my own startup. Hopefully with all this new information and advice I’ll be able to minimize any problems that could arise in a potential business. I’ve never done a project like this, where I had to talk to an outside source to get the information needed, but it was a good experience for sure. It’s different from the typical projects I’ve done in the past which is refreshing to say the least. The interview with the entrepreneur was something I may not have done on my own, so having it as part of the class is a great idea. It may have forced me to leave my comfort zone but it was more than worth it. The knowledge that has been parted onto me is absolutely helpful. |

The most meaningful thing to me about this was just seeing the love this man has for his business. The business can now be ran without him physically having to be there, yet he still goes in every morning before any of his employees and starts working. He still gets down and dirty doing jobs when he could just be at home letting the money come in. Sometimes he is the first one there, and the last one to leave the shop. He will not quit nor leave without a job unfinished. He takes care of his customers very well, like most places they have a "waiting room" most times just chairs, he invested in getting some nice couches that recline, a fully stocked fridge with sodas and water that are free, with a television in the room. He also has done in home repairs (for a price obviously) for customers that can't make it to the shop. This man takes pride in what he does, and it shows. He works hard to help out his family, so that his wife could stay at home with the kids. He also treats his employees like family, treats them to dinner at his home, invites them on trips etc. Whenever any of his employees is having a rough day he'll pull them aside and just talk with them see whats going on. He's a hard working man that'll bend his back for his employees, customers, and family, always happy and positive about everything. |

The opportunity to interview an entrepreneur gave me a bigger perspective of what it is to live your life around your business. She mentioned how to her, her business was her life. She dedicates everything to it. She seemed so lively and happy. She is where she wants to be and as for an entrepreneur I think that is something to thrive for. The advice she gave me truly made sense. Love what I do and I’ll do it well. She mentioned out of the interview how it may not always be flowers and rainbows but it is also up to me to make it exciting every time I’m working. It was a great experience to get to know more about everything that revolves around a business. It truly inspired me to keep a positive outlook for wanting to start my own business someday. Seeing it from a successful entrepreneurs eye point of view gave me more valor to follow what I love most. |

When I started this class i wasn't really understanding the whole business idea. But the person i interviewed is somebody I have known for two years. So when I startedobserving the way he/she managed his/her business it made me understand alot of the topics we went over. It gave me a chance to relate the class to something that was real life experience for me. When I sit in class im comparing what i observe outside of class to what we do in class. This project was very meaningful to me because I got to see more in detail the job of an entrepeneur. Also because the person I interviewed is someone I admire very much. To actually kow everything this person does for her/his business is very inspiring. The best part of this project was getting to sit with this person and asking him/her the questions, it was like a moment where she/he got to tell me of his/her experience. It's very neat because he/she is giving me advice on something she/he has already accomplish and that means alot to me. |

What I found most meaningful about this project was having the opportunity of seeing how a business is ran from an experienced entrpenuer's perspective. Everything, from providing friendly customer service to becoming a reliable source to the customers, proves that owning a business takes hard work and dedication. Dedication not only to the customers but the employees as well. Keeping the customer satisfied to the point where they refer your work to others and keep coming to you is always top priority in the business field. An employee is just as important to the company as the manager is. They help keep the business in order and help with labor as well. My father has owned his business for abourt three years now. It has never occured to me how difficult it could be owning and managing your own business. Through this project I was able to get closer to my father while, also learning important concepts of being a salesperson. The project not only prepared me for what I will face when I open my own business but also helped me gain some sense of knowledge in how different one business could be to another. Each business requires different techiniques and responsibilities. I've learned these come with time as the business grows. |

The most meaningful part of this project was learning the perks and problems of owning a small business. He showed me that even a simple service can be profitable. It doesn't have to be difficult to manage its mostly common sense at this level. Meeting the demands of the people can mean one must lower prices or adapt to competitors in the same area of business. He said,"competition can be sort of cut-throat but you just have to stay ahead as much as possible." He warned me of the dangers in his business like not having many frequent customers. I learned how to build a respectable reputation by just a simple gesture of kindness or giving compliments and really just brightening up someones day. He told me that being reliable and making a name for yourself is a way to establish yourself in managing a small business. When i interviewed him he seemed very approachable and he explained that is very important to make a good first impression because "there may never be a second chance." I really appreciate his insight into the world of an entrepreneur and makes me excited to learn more about business. I will take all his advice into consideration when I want to start my own business. This has been a wonderful experience and I look forward into maybe one day starting my life as an entrepreneur. |

It made me understand better why Realtors end up quitting the business. If you are not well prepared you definitely won’t make it. |
