I have learned a lot of business' information and experiences from this project. The project is really useful and helpful for me to find a job or to set up my own business in the furture. Small businesses is not as easy as I think. The boss or owner needs to face much pressure, to take care their employees and customers, to decide each next step the company walks forward. Before I study this class, I thought samll businesses are such as hair salons, restaurants, grocery stores, ect.. Now I get mor and more interested in business. Not only will I can administrate my own company but also I might have more time and money to do anything I want.
This time, the entrepreneur I interviewed is my father who has seted up the company for 25 years. He has many experiences of international business trade. He ever said to us that "starting a business is hard, but running a business even hard." All the big companies begane from entrepreneur or partnership. There are 200 comanies at least are stared  per years in Taiwan; however, a few companies are still running after 5 years. Now the whole world is stuffing a though time, global warming and economic decline. Those problems affect our food, clothing, shelter, and transportation, which is releated every kind of businesses all over the world.

What was most meaningful about this project was the person I interviewed. She is an old family friend of mine, yet I've never really talked to her about her business. It was great to get this insight from someone I know and can trust. Seeing how she's gone from leaving college to going to hair styling school to owning her own business makes you think that a lot is possible if you have to goal and are driven and making it happen. She spoke about having great mentors and I know if I ever went into business of my own that I would have a reliable and experienced mentor.

Our conversation about the matter didn't end there. After the interview we went to lunch and I got a haircut from her and the conversation never really stopped. There was always a new question and answer to go a long with it, and in some cases a new approach on how to handle the matter. This was a great experience to ask myself "Do i have what it takes to start my own business?". I'd like to think yes, but only time will tell when that moment comes to make that big leap forward. It will be a journey!

The most meaningful to me about this project is how I was able to learn where Joseph Baur's passion for his business came from. It made me look back to how my daily jobs can and will help direct me to my career. Joseph Baur started as a maintenance man and has now become a man in over $20 million dollars invested in real estate rental properties. It was also interesting to see how he never had that much schooling and how he was still able to learn his was and start what he has. But he also taught me that patience is important. He told me a story how he almost lost everything by a bad discission. He purchased a piece of property in Flordia without doing research and was on the verge or bankrupcy because of it.
So the second thing i learned that research is important. Just doing look at the cover of everything, but look at what is hiding underneath. Something might look really good, but in the end might be a bad choice, but you'll never know if you don't try. This project has opened my eyes alot and i believe this is a good project for anyone no matter what your major is.

This project was meaningful too me because I now know wat it would take too have a business. When I am done witht this project I will have learned how too start up a business.  I now know that the goals that Ihad in mind before i can now rethink about it now that I have knowledge of it. I will have learned that I would need a place too start a business like an establishment. I will have learned that I would need too be dependable. I also know that i have too only relay on myself.
I will have learned that I could depend on my own credit. I will have also learned is that I have too build credit in order to move in the business industry. I will have taken with me the facts that can help me get financial aid if I ever needed it. That there will always be new businesses that need too be made or need growing. That too never ever be afraid to just go out there an do it. I will have learned the basics of how a busiess is started an runs.

I learned that making a business work is no simple task. Many people have the dream, but few have the will and the commitment to see a business through. Certain personality traits can help or harm how you handle a business. If a person does not remain motivated, especially during the first two years of business then he/she is very likely to fail. Taking a personality test to see how your characteristics match with the ones better suited for business is a good way to see if you are likely to succeed. This is meaningful to me because I believed financial requirements to be the greatest impediment to business success.
I found out that the most difficult thing about starting a business isn’t the financial requirements. Often, the people that fail are well-funded but don’t have the personal characteristics to make it in a business. I also found out the excessive amount of work it takes just to keep your business floating or giving it proper follow up. It takes much more work than I had previously believed it would take. If I ever decide to start a business, I now know to expect hard work and long hours without many benefits at the beginning. I now believe the most vital thing about starting a business does not have to do with paperwork or loans but with having the right set of personal characteristics.

The information that I obtained from doing this project was very insightful and helpful for me and my future if I plan on starting a business.  The entrepreneur that I interviewed gave me some good information that I can hold onto and use later in my life. I've known him for quite some time and he has done security for a lot of celebrities. His business has been doing really well over the years. I think I would like to form a business around security services. The industry in which he works in seems to be doing really well and the recent recession hasn't really effected the business.
What I liked the most about this interview was how honest and humble this man was about his business. He wasn't bragging or over-exaggerating with how his business is ran. He was just a regular average guy who you wouldn't even know has a successful business. It was nice of him to take time away from his busy schedule to have a sit down interview with me. What i also liked about the interview was that he was answering questions that I'm sure other people and myself would like to know. He gives me inspiration to try and start up my own business, but I know it's not going to be easy and times have changed since he started up his business.

I learned that getting into business isn't easy, but if you put your mind to it you can do it.  A car customization business would be a very good business to have because lots of people want to get their cars to look different then others.

You need to start or buy a business you believe in if other people don't understand why you are doing starting it.  The best way to get your business known is to have people tell people and to network it.

If your going to start a business in hopes to get rich don't because it will never work it needs to be something that you love doing and owning if you hate it it will never work.

Business has always been around us, this project made me open my eyes to how challenging being an owner of a business can be. After finishing my interview with my dad, i realized how intelligent this man is. I was never aware of how many times he had to fail in order to suceed. He never gave up on his dream and worked hard to get to where he is today in the business world.
This project is meaningful to me because i was able to go "behind the scenes" of my fathers company and learn so much about how things work in the health care industry. Now with the knowledge i gained from this experience i'll be able to use it when i start my career as a nurse in the future.

I could say that in all my 18 years i've never really took the time to sit down and talk to my dad about what pays all the bills and maintains our household. Doing this project on him was something that i enjoyed because I got to really talk to him about his business. It's something that I never really cared or payed much attention too and never really gave him his full props on everything he does. Him and my mother work so hard to maintain everything that they have achieved. Owning your own business isn't as easy as everyone puts it out to be. Although it is better to own your own business rather than work for somebody else like my dad would say.
He made me realize a lot about my own future and making me want to start up my own business one day. But i have to be prepared for what I want to do. I cant just go in and think that everything is going to work out in the way that i want it to. This project was an eye opener and a helpful source for my own knowledge. I enjoyed doing it on my father because it gave me a much more grateful gratitude towards him and what he does for me and my family.

Im looking to go into business myself really soon. This interview has helped me in ways i would never expected. I did not see it as a homework but as direct advise from someone that has been in business for more than 20 years. Information like this is very hard to read on books. The oportunity to talk to a person face to face and them telling you as if they where taking to their children, is very helpful. There are things that you are not ready for and you cant think of them because you have never experimented them. But this persone has gone through a billion decisions to get where he is today, and all that priceless experince is given to you for free!
