At first I thought to myself that [name removed] would be able to offer me an opportunity to be free, set my own hours and not have a boss or a ceiling to what I could earn. My initial goal was to be the very best that I can be, because I had a great example from my coach and trainer, Mr. Hector Lamarque -www.hectorlamarque.com, who was earning $855,000 yearly and had me leave the real estate business where I was 23 years ago. I was the top listing and sales rep earning about $125,000 yearly income. I was totally impressed by the crusade, concept, and compensation of the [name removed] System. -[name removed] |

[Name removed] got into the business because back in college he worked for a carpentry company. [Name removed] was fed up with all the complaining from the head bosses, weird times, and wanted more respect so decided he could make his own carpentry company, and mainly be his own boss. Whole initial goal was to be his own boss and to collect his own revenue. It was as simple as that |

My mother was a bail agent and her partner Pete Brito owned Pete Brito Bail Bonds in Pomona, CA I was working with Altos Computer as a sales person, I offered to help my mother in 1990 to update their business by transferring all their files on a computer. After working with them for two years I decided to work my mother and become a second generation bail agent. I became a license agent in August 1993. In September 1995 they asked me if I would be interested in taking over the business, they sold the business to me and they would stay on as consultants to business. My mother would pass two years later in May 1997. Pete would then pass in 2000. I had great mentorship from my mother and Pete. I now completely love being helpful to others, and now my father Henry, my daughters Brandie and Candice are third generation license bail agents. |

NAICS: 531 Real Estate Description: House or building rentals |
3. Originally, I had no plans on working in real-estate. I came to this country for work and I had no where to go. I came by train with documents and I happened to get off at a rich neighborhood. Since I looked like I was homeless (which I technically was), people stayed away from me. I saw a man working in his front yard and he looked like he was about to pass out from doing yard work. I approached him and in the very little English I knew, I asked if he needed help. I spent the entire day working for him. He told me that he was in real-estate and that was his house, he noticed that I looked homeless, so he offered a place to stay at his home. I ended up working for him for “rent” and we became friends. I eventually got citizenship and he had more business than he can handle. So he ended up selling me 2 houses for really cheap. As soon as I paid them off, I realized that I had an empty house. He help me find someone who was willing to rent the house and showed me all the paper work and papers. I was happy, but then I realized that this could be my job. I needed something to make a living and this could be it. |

NAICS: 453 Miscellaneous Store Retailers Description: Tobacco Retailer and Gift Shop |
I decided to get into this type of business when I was helping a friend out. A guy I met in Hollywood was parking cars for a living as a valet and I was a property manager with my company. He wondered what I did for a living and from there I helped him find property. It started out with one and then over time it grew to multiple properties. He was middle eastern and opened tobacco stores. I saw the potential in this business by observing how much money he was making. He also was able to grow his business from 1 to 14 different stores all over the San Gabriel and San Fernanado Valleys and later on opened 3 Mediterranean restaraunts. After seeing this success I then asked for his advice and thats how I got to where I am now today. |

NAICS: 238 Specialty Trade Contractors Description: Plumbing and Pipe service business |
After I got my first born; I decided to try working with my husband, who was working with his friend digging dirt for his cousin. This is how I got introduce to the work. He would make $80 per day, working 5.30 am until 8.00pm or even later. After 2 weeks of this schedule, I got tired of that, and realize that we could do better than my friend’s cousin. In fact we decided to have our own crew. People’s envy made us work harder and it worked out. Within 6 months, we were running a crew of 5 to 7 workers, and was working 7 days a week, but I was still subcontracting. We would get a percentage of the contract. Then we decided to open a warehouse, where we were selling plumbing supplies. It was a bad investment, so we had to go back on the field, and realized that if we wanted to be ahead and make more money, we would have to go get our contracting license that we later got in late 2008. Even with the recession, we were still able to have a decent income. |

NAICS: 722 Food Services and Drinking Places Description: Mexican Food Lunch Restaurant |
I decided to get into the business because of need. I needed to try and make a better living for my family. If the business was successful I knew it would put my family in a better place economically and I knew I would be able to count on them for support and help with the restaurant. I wanted a restaurant to cater to the large amounts of people out during lunch hour in the downtown district and I knew there wasn’t any Mexican restaurant around to do that. My goal was to make a restaurant that only served lunch. The amount of people in the downtown area who go out for lunch around the same time was very large and I wanted the restaurant to be able to provide delicious food for them and fast. |
