NAICS: 315 Apparel Manufacturing
Description: Financial and Apparel Manufacturing Consulting
My partner and I both have had a lot of experiences in what we do and we thought what better way to build our own business than to do something we are extremely good at and have a proven track record of delivering to the clients what they want. So, we decided to start our own company to share that wealth of knowledge. Our initial goal was so simple… to be able to find clients that would take a chance on two newbies that can talk your ear off to convince you for a chance and opportunity to let us deliver what they want!

I was being cheap and did not want to pay for pictures do decorate my home, so I decided to blow up some pictures I had taken throughout the years. As more friends visited my new place they motivated me to pursue photography, they all said I had an eye for this stuff. I originally wanted to be a travel photographer and for a while I was doing it and making decent money on it, but I realized that there is more money to be made in portrait and event photography so this is where I am now. I still do travel photography but not nearly as often as I would love to

NAICS: 721 Accommodation
Description: A hospitality guest-ranch
My journey into this business began sixteen years ago after my wife and I married and we decided as a couple what our passions, talents, and giftings were. We tried to find one common purpose in our marriage together which included putting together a vision plan that involved living and working on a hospitality guest ranch. We strived to pull together our strengths with both animals and hospitality to make our ranch a great environment for family get-aways and kids camps. We wanted to create a place where families and guests could experience the country. Our initial goal was to keep the property we live on by generating enough money to pay the bills. We wanted to keep this ranch which had become our life and needed funding to do so. We invite guests to stay with us in order to live the life style we want to. Fund the property so tat we could grow the business- prove the business model.

NAICS: 311 Food Manufacturing
Description: noodle manufactured
For me, it is family business, and it is kind of product segment that is not very attracted on the fore front like technology; so, my situation is kind of forced in. Get involve in family business can help my parent because they want to take more time off, and the way that I make it work is getting my MBA. Tight into everything, nothing is easy. It is much more than how hard you work. However, I end up liking it with the satisfaction of completing the task. Initially, there is something that family business needs, so I just go there, set them the goal and figure out what I need to do to get that goal. I have a lot of opportunities to leave, but it is my family business, I have no choice. When I pursued my MBA for the full time, I didn’t think about family business until I graduated. There were some good offers from couple big companies, big manufactures, finance and investment banking, but these jobs did not offer me the flexibility and curiosity that I needed. Then, when I have involved in my family business, I have the flexibility about timing and management, at the same time, I want to do things better for family business. Because of the environment, some those skills that I learn, I am be able to bring that back on the family company to make the operation more transparent, or to help company more organized and things flow better as products are more consistent.

NAICS: 811 Repair and Maintenance
Description: . We repair late model Japanese and European motorcycles
I’ve been in the motorcycle industry since I was a kid, and just climbed the ladder steadily. I worked all over the place, the Bay Area, DC, Denver but big places are the all the same, They are all about the numbers in which case I mean money. Customer service is pretty low on the priority list for big name dealers. Poor workmanship goes hand in hand with that program, as well as, they just end up pumping shit out that would not bring customers back. No quality. After seeing a lot of the mistakes big dealers were making, I wanted to prove that the little guy can do it better. Our shop prides itself on having long standing relationships with our customers and that requires high quality and great service.

NAICS: 811 Repair and Maintenance
Description: Family owned and operated auto repair shop
I decided to get into this business because I had grown up with a father who was a trucker and was always under the hood of his trucks and cars fixing or changing something. So naturally I would ask questions and my father would teach me as he went along. I grew up with a curiosity and love for looking at an engine, analyzing it, taking it apart, understanding it, fixing it, and putting it back together. I worked as a mechanic at numerous shops throughout my early adult life and it was always a dream of mine to own my own shop. So when I saved a decent amount of money from years of work and side hustles I decided to finally look into buying my own space to operate my shop. When I first opened up my shop my initial goal was to break even with all the initial cost that came with opening up the shop by years end… that would not be the case.
