Description: About beauty
When I was a teenager, I worried about my facial skin. There was a lot of acnes, and I was very upset all the day at that time. I did not want to go outside, eat a little, and feel very unhappy every day. Therefore, my sister was very worried about me. She decided to go to Hong Kong, and learn some skills about how to eliminate these acnes. When she came back, I did not believe her. However, after two months, these acnes were gone. I thought it is very miraculous. Finally, we started our beauty business. The initial goal that was make more and more people beautiful and happiness.

Initially, it was to become a full-fledged attorney in a courtroom, but I preferred the appeal of having freedom over my own schedule, to be able to have multiple businesses, and be my own boss. Being a traditional attorney, you were placed in an inflexible position which wouldn’t have allowed for this. Contract and transactional attorneys also tend to do more “boring work”. Whereas what I do now allows for the more “fun” aspects of what a traditional attorney has to do. In other words, I was able to have my cake and eat it too. As for how I got into this business, I have a lot of friends in the legal and tech field, so I wanted to connect the two in the Orange County area. In the Orange County area, there are a lot of people who want a lot of projects that need to be done. This need allows me to combine a side contract job and to deal within the legal aspect of it while incorporating technology.

NAICS: 722 Food Services and Drinking Places
Description: Seafood Restaurant
I used to work in a company as hole sell business and I used to sell seafood to other companies. I had the opportunity to meet people and the business as well. At that point I learn the needs that society had and how much money I could be making by myself. Then in decided to try my abilities taking the challenge to start a new business. In the beginning my goal was to pay my rent. I decided to keep working in the place where I was working but I needed extra money because my family was moving from Mexico and I wanted to have a place to offer them. In my thoughts I wanted to be able to work for myself and not for others. In the beginning I was renting the place of my business, then I though what if I buy it, it was in a good area and there was not a lot of competence around it about a seafood restaurant so I took the risk.

One of the most significant reasons why I decided to become self-employed is that I feel I can make good money. Profits are very attractive. In essence, the purpose of a business is to make money. If a company is succeeding in what they do, it means that the business is generating more profit and more profit can lead to a better lifestyle. However, having own business has not only advantages, but also disadvantages. Own business is a great possibility to make a career. As a result, the boss becomes famous and extremely rich. On the other hand, it is connected with a huge responsibility. As a boss i have always think about what is the best for my restaurant.

My father had a restaurant and it was very profitable, when I was teenager, I used to help my father, and I learned everything about the business, and notify a lot of things that I did not like it, even thought my father was not a good businessman, he made quite good money . I learned that restaurants were great business with great margins; when my father was 60 years old, he passed me the restaurant, so I remodeled and I made the restaurant even more profitable, and then opened up a second one with loans, and my own money. My initial goal was to make money, and since I knew a lot of this business, I took advantage of it. Now I have 7 restaurants.

NAICS: 424 Merchant Wholesalers, Nondurable Goods
Description: Rubber and Chemical Distributor
I got into the Rubber Industry by accident, really. My grandfather whom I respected and looked up to as a father mentor advised me to get my bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I found Chemistry to be quite interesting so I stuck with it and graduated. After college, I went to work for one of my vendors now, LORD Corporation. I learned a lot from LORD Corp. and eventually moved my way up the corporate ladder to sales. They would fly me out to places in southern California. I ended up calling on R.D Abbott and grew very close to the owner at that time which was Jerry Wicker. Jerry took me under his wing and taught me the ins and the outs and even pointed me in the right direction to new clientele. Eventually, Jerry grew older and became more interested in spending time with his grandchildren not running his business. This is around the time he was whispering in my ear he was going to sell the company. I got together with my close friend in the rubber industry Scott Kearns. Scott was working for Dow Corning at the time in the Silicone sector. I got with him to see if he wanted to buy the business with me and if brought Dow Corning on to make RDA their distributor I could get LORD to make RDA their national distributor and we could start our own rubber distribution.

For me it shows me in a way. Growing up I always loved to build things. I went to school and became a teacher for 12 years but I realize this isn’t what I really want to do, I love to build things! So, in short that’s how I decided to get into this type of business, I love to do it. My initial goal is to do the job that I love and at the same time make enough to sustain an established business and make this go to a level to have it sustain a day to day living.

3. When I first got into film work it really started because I had an attraction to it, as early as High School. I then decided to study photo/film in college, and I continued to pursue it after graduating. My initial goal then was to have a small production company while supplying small advertisement packages to local clients, however as time went on my initial goal now has grown and expanded so much larger. I feel that’s the great thing about goals… there continuous, never ending. I completed one goal and now I want to expand, having a business that let's do something I am passionate about and explore not only the world but myself, because of this business I created and pursued I have gained a great amount of knowledge and have grown as a person just as my business has.

He decided to get into this type of business because his father was a residential gardener. He knew how to do this kind of work and do it well, so he began working for a company with a similar field of work. After working for this company for ten years he recognized that, as hard as he was working he could work even harder for himself. He wanted to work for himself and make more income for his family.

3. I would have to say the bank - due to the fact that building. I’ve been in this business for many years and over the course of time i have figured out that the best way to deal with credit sis banks. This is due to the fact that banks are a more reliable source of credit because they are based on off the security of the market at large and not subject to the whims of the alcoholic beverage vending market itself.
