| I had experience in it from the trade point of view and new that the best way for me to scale the business would be to manufacture the product. . Once our first line was a success we continued to build on that by investing into research and development to bring new complimentary products on boards. Having experience in the trade gave me an insight in knowing who my customers are and helped me understand my customer’s needs. My initial goal was to build the business up, sell new products that haven’t yet been seen on the market and be the company selling the best quality products. |

NAICS: 811 Repair and Maintenance Description: Auto Repair and Maintenance |
| My father was in the business and I started the business because I hated the nefarious behavior of the dealerships. The owner began his auto repair career at local dealerships and felt like he was constantly fighting to make sure that customers were treated with honesty and integrity. Dealerships are continuously looking for ways to upsell and cross-sell regardless if it is truly in the best interest of its customers. Dealerships will try to get customers to buy repairs and maintenance that isn't needed. [Name Removed] wanted to create an auto repair business that would support his family and still give him pride in the work he and his employees do for their customers. The owner believes that this is why he has such a large following or customer base even though it costs his customers more to do business with his shop. |

NAICS: 541 Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Description: market Communications public relations media |
| the way that I got into this business was kind of a shock I simply look into it. I had a group of friends we're all going into the entertainment business rather it be makeup artists, actors, or models. none of them had any representation I just so happen to have a big network or databases of people from previous ventures so use that to my advantage so like I said I just happen to be lucky. other than that I had the drive not fail so I had to push clients to get their names out there rather it be for a red carpet event or for magazine cover shoot I refuse to fail. |

NAICS: 541 Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Description: Private Web Designer/Creator |
| My business actually started as a favor to a friend who needed help getting his own business started as well. While designing his potential site he would comment occasionally on my work. Then after completion he said he would recommend me to some of his other colleagues for similar jobs. At first I thought nothing of it until checking my email I received a few from people I never met asking to see some samples of my work and others already offering a job to create a website for them as well. After a started getting more consistent clientele and ultimately picked up a very large company to work for as well, I decided to make a full-time business out of this. At first I never imagined myself creating websites for a business or even extending my reach beyond the scope of helping a friend, but here I am now and I enjoy it. |

NAICS: 624 Social Assistance Description: Developmental Disabilities Support Services |
| Shortly after completing my post-secondary education, I was given the opportunity to work part-time as a care provider. More specifically, I was providing personal care for disabled persons as well as senior citizens. During the mid 70’s, the Government of California had yet to implement an organizational structure by which to provide and regulate in-home supported living services to our targeted groups; my colleagues and myself were basically working as personal care providers for hire. With growing demand for assisted living services, my wife and I saw an opportunity to create a non-profit organization to be funded through California State Government grants. Our primary goal was to change state legislature in which to implement the need for California Social Security Agencies in providing assisted supporting live-in services. We looked to create national awareness in hopes that our accomplishments would prompt response from subsequent states. |

NAICS: 531 Real Estate Description: Paperwork per Escrow |
| Actually, I started off as an agent; and I still am. I have been doing real estate for about 15 years and I think more than anything the paperwork can be overwhelming. What made me decide to start my own business is I saw that many agents were struggling to keep up with their escrow transactions and paperwork. So I decided to ease part of their burden and stress so they could concentrate on selling more homes and becoming more productive. My company handles all the paperwork dealing with escrow transactions. Even if a deal doesn't go through one hundred percent, I still expect to get paid regardless just for preparing the paper work. |

NAICS: 621 Ambulatory Health Care Services Description: Therapeutic Treatments for Health & Healing |
| I’ve always had an interest in the human body, anatomy, and physiology. It’s always been an interest of mine. It started in high school and went through college in taking different courses. First, I got my degree in exercise physiology. Being involved in sports and fitness my whole life has also struck an interest into this field on massage therapy. I had a desk job for a while and that caused a lot of stress and so I went to see the chiropractor to help me and he told me I needed to get some soft tissue work from one of his massage therapists. I didn’t know what soft tissue was at the time so when I went I was amazed by what they were able to do in order to help me. Also, what was interesting was how everything worked together for healing. It sparked a big interest and I continued to follow that path of health and healing for the human body. People would come to me for help and I can now help them just as when I was teaching tennis, they would come to me I would help them and they would get better. My initial goal was to work in a clinical setting like a chiropractic office and clinics that work with the physical body. That was the setting that I wanted to work in. I also wanted to work in multiple places and wanted to make a set amount of income. The goal was to start off with $80,000 a year and continue to work my way up. When I had eventually worked my way up I would then decide what steps to take next. I wanted to always make sure that I was making rational decisions and that I wasn’t trying to rush into the business or into owning my own. Making sure to be organized and having a plan was key for me. |
