I have been a soccer fanatic since I was a child. I knew I would be involved in the sport for the rest of my life whether it be playing, coaching, or selling soccer goods. When I first came to the United States, there were not many stores offering soccer merchandise. I knew a lot of people in the Hispanic community and felt there was a need for a soccer business. I also knew I could partner up with the local parks and schools and start soccer leagues of different ages. My initial goal was to have a business for the customer by offering customized uniforms. The business side of being a sole proprietor was a challenge for me because I didn’t know how about the finances and what I needed to start my own business. Researching, reading books, and talking to other business owners really helped have an idea of how the business side works. In truth, we wanted to make money and live a good life. The best way to do this was by being my own boss and getting to do what I wanted done. Having your own business means that you can manage everything in the way you want it. There are, however, a few downsides, you might get too much work at one point and be overflowed with paperwork. In the end it pays off because you can not expect to have a successful business without putting a good amount of effort into it. As of now, I do live a pretty good life but ironically this business isn't something I enjoy doing. I continue for the revenue but being able to do what you want as a living in this world is a luxury so I am satisfied with the business I have because I do live well with what I have now.
