When I was a young girl in El Salvador, my mom used to take me to her work and showed me how to cook all the different dishes they served. This is where I learned that I loved cooking. I told my self that when I get older, I would open my own place where I could cook whatever I wanted. As far as what my goal was when opened, it was to improve my quality of life and prosper. Growing up, my family was poor. My mom worked everyday at a restaurant. When I was there, I would always see the owner drive his Mercedes Benz. I asked my mom why we had to walk while he got to drive? She told me, that as the owner, he makes the most money and gets to buy nice things. I wanted the same thing for myself, so when I got married in my early 20's, my husband and I went into the restaurant business. This allowed me to realize my goal. I had money in my pocket and was able to not worry about being able to provide for my family.

Starting my business was a path I had stumbled upon when I became allergic to ingredients to mainstream bodycare products sold at Bath and Bodyworks, Target, etc. I threw away perfumes, soaps, lotions, etc and started from scratch using simple oils and no fragrances. I started researching and found that many ingredients in body care were considered irritants. This was over 8 years ago, when people were becoming a little more aware of parabens. My passion for computers all started when I was 12 years old. I had my first computer and was fascinated by the fact that a box with wires inside can transport information to the screen. By the age of 15 I had taken dozens of computers apart and repaired them. I knew every part of a computer and gained a lot of confidence. I knew this was what I wanted to do as a career. I took it a step further and read many books about computers. I had applied to many computer repair stores but was denied the job due to my age. Little did they know that I knew more about computers then they did. When I started college computers were barely starting to become more popular and computer classes were very basic. Therefore I had to learn most on my own such as web designing. Between age 22 and 29 I had worked for many Taiwanese manufacturers that made parts for computers and gained a lot of experience in the industry. In 2000 the Taiwanese company I was working for had to close down. This had forced me to start my own business. I came up with a thorough business plan and luckily had saved enough money to start the business. My goal for the business was to bring the level of service from the big companies had worked for to my small business.
