| I got into this business around 1992. What got me into was I used to work for law firm down the street from this gym original location on Main Street in Santa Ana. First I become the member of the gym before I became the owner of the gym. Because I didn’t want sit in traffic and go home after work. So I go to gym instead. I became friend with one of the owner, his name Joe. He was gym partner with another gym owner, his name is Paul. Paul wanted to sell his partnership to Joe, but Joe didn’t have enough money. So initially I was just going to become just the silent partner and then I was friend of Joe. So I just started owning the 25% of the gym at the original location. However I realized the gym was not doing well. So I became more and more involved. And for few years I was managing it with Joe at the original case from about 1992-94 I manage with him at the original location. I was got married and went to law school. So I left him in charge of the gym 1994-97. And after finished law school I decided go back at 1997. 2004 I was involved with management. I was still co-managing the gym at the original location on Main Street. And I left management because my partner was trying to buy me out with new partner. And I came back in 2006 but with no managing. I started getting invest more and more because gym was moving around in two different locations; Costa Mesa. And the gym wasn’t doing so well. So I started invest more money to start the modernization process. My first initial goal when I first got in is to modernize the gym and make it more profitable even though when I first got in was 20 years ago. |
