| I took a bakery class in High school. Also, I liked to bake and decorate things just for fun. My background in reality is accounting, but then when our company shut down, I decided to start something new. Sometimes when people are unemployed they have to create their own business. I thought, let me try getting a job in a bakery, and then I realized that I got paid for something I really loved. From then on, I started to work for different companies until I decided to just do it on my own. I can have more freedom and creativity. |

NAICS: 541 Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Description: Law Office |
| It all started when I was 11 years old, I had a teacher that gave me the Dragnet Police books, and I was fascinated with the mystery behind the law and what they need to do to prosecute a criminal. Later as I grew up, I really want to study the law to help people with issues that most people could not fight on their own, but with my expertise I could resolve their problems. As I progressed I join a law firm as junior partner and worked under a more seasoned attorney that handled the litigation of the law firm. That’s where I wanted to be, in the court room fighting for others, but I was surprised one day that the man that I worked under left the firm and his department was absorbed by other and I was stuck in an office assisting on any cases of the firm. So I took the step out in 1979 to go out on my own, and it’s been that way ever since. |

| Basically it’s a gymnastic club. I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and even put my three children into it when they were little, all the way to when they didn’t want to do it anymore. So I always knew I would do this business but for my initial business I did something else to save my money and to prepare for when it was time to open up a gymnastics club. |

So my boss saw my dedication and honesty to the store that’s when, it was his time to retire he choose me to be the next owner of his store. That he would not see his prior store go out of business instead that I would boost our sales and expand our store and merchandice |

NAICS: 722 Food Services and Drinking Places Description: bar- alcoholic beverages. |
| I decided to get in this type of business because my boyfriend always wanted to own a bar. He did not like school, but he had a passion for business. I have a PhD in accounting and I have always worked in the field. When we got married I decided to help him to pursue his dreams. Consequently, I decided to start a business with him. We wanted to do something different that brought attention to customers. We did not have an Idea about how to stand out from other bars; however, one day we went to a party and the bartender could not make it, so my boyfriend became one without previous experience. He started to prepare “micheladas” which is beer mixed with chili and lemon. Here is the thing, he came up with a new recipe for “micheladas, ” which was beer with everything he had available. He used strawberries, coconut, pineapple, watermelon, whisky, tequila, and shrimp. People at the party just kept ordering “micheladas.” They were telling him how much they liked them. Later, we opened our own bar and we have been in business for seven years; everything is going great. Our main goal was to create a unique bar, which would be a franchise later. Right now we have four bars and our future goal is to open one per year. |

My initial goal was to protect my fathers patent, continue the image he created, and help the business grow with new innovative ideas. Since I have taken over the business 20 years ago, our annual sales have grown 10 million. And that's in a declining economy. |

NAICS: 551 Management of Companies and Enterprises Description: Venture Capital Technologist |
| I went to Cal Poly Pomona for Computer Science but never finished my degree. My best friend dad back in the mid 1990 showed us an online market niche. For about 10 years I made a killing with various online sites and niches I created. Now that I am well off financially and gained tons of knowledge in the business field I know what it takes to be a successful business owner. With wealth gained over my success I now look for businesses that appeal to me. My goal is to give a fair shoot to those who need assistance financially with start-ups and existing businesses. |
